Day two:


First picture of my 49th year. This is my buddies, not my grandchildren, would have loved that but this is the next best thing for sure!

well the dieting is back on track, kinda. STarting out slowly. I WANT a diet coke so badly. Going to go to work tonight and was going to go workout but thinking that I will go to bed instead. Im so tired today. Will go and work out tomorrow night. I need to get on the ball with this losing weight or I will not win the contest!

Today



is the second day of my 49th year! I am going to make the best of this year. I am going to make a list of things that I want to do and going to check them off one at a time!Now is my list going to be 50 things that I want to to this year? Oh there is the ones that I have every year...
1. have no debt...credit card
2. get into better shape by exercising.
3. pay my bills on time

Then there are ones that I make every year but going to make it based on 50...
4. read 50 books this year
5. Lose 50 lbs.
6. bring my cholestrol down (ok maybe 50 points)
7. finish my "first 50 years" album
8. take 50 shots of my throughout the year with me in each one!
9.make 50 homemade meals with fresh foods


Then the just general goals:
10.go whale watching
11. re-connect with a long lost friend
12. successfully grow something, healthy
13. Go outside and lie on the grass
14. Treat yourself to a health spa
15. Give to charity
16. go to a sporting event
17. Visit a museum in the city
18. Watch every James Bond mOvie
19. create a time capsule
20. learn to do yoga and how to meditate and do it

21. Send flowers for no reason
22. go to see an opera at the MET
23. go to see 2 bradway plays in one day
24. give blood
25. Plant a tree at my grandparent's gravesite or somewhere that is important to them
26. walk a 1/2 marathon
27. write a letter to your favorite author
28. Walk through central park
29. Vote intelligently for presidential election

31. Sew, complete an outfit and wear it out
32.Win the lottery. Even if its just a few bucks. I want to win

Never travel alone? Book a package deal to your fantasy destination. Never been to an opera? Buy a ticket. Never go for a walk at sunrise? Set your alarm. Never talk to your sister without getting into an argument? There’s always the mute button.
36. Make a gratitude list of individuals who’ve helped you the most when you’ve needed it. A teacher, friend, colleague? Arrange a visit and let this person know, face to face, what her contribution has meant.

One month

has gone by since I last posted. Hate when life takes over, don't you? Well since I started this dieting again on New Years day I am down....drum roll please......20 lbs. I have been working out several days a week and trying to watch what I eat....Ok just so you know its cheese cake today (my birthday cake of choice) then I will go to the gym to night to alteast take some of those calories off that I am putting on at lunch with my HUGE piece of cake! That is lunch and only that! Got a mental goal of 10 lbs a month and so far am keeping to it. Im back running and need to start taking that up a notch if I plan on running a 5k in April! Keep you posted on that progress. Well bell is going to run and need to get ready!

down another 1.5 lbs

Ok so Im not the best blogger but I wanted to post that since starting this diet up again Im now down 3 lbs. I know that slow and steady win the race but I want to lose weight like they do on the biggest loser. 10 lbs one week, 8 another....I'd be at my goal weight in no time at all. But Then again I don't have all my time to stay in the gym running, walking, lifting weights so I guess Ill be happy with the slow and steady approach.

Review of the week:
EXERCISE: I've been to the gym practically every day this week. 45-60 mins of cardio. STart with the elliptical machine 15-20 mins, then running 15 mins (been averaging 1.25 miles), the arm rowing for 5 mins, then ending with the stationary bike for 10-20 mins. I've been trying to keep my heart rate up to 150 bpm.
EATING: I've been very good about eating healthier. But that late at night I need something has been getting to me. I bought Dove individual chocolates and they seem to fit the bill, taking one or two and Im set for the night.

Well Im going to go and do some cleaning.

New Day (ok again)

Yesterday went to the gym and learned something AWESOME! when wearing my polarizer heart monitor it links up to the gym equipment and reads it on the machine. AWESOME!!!
So I don't need to wear my polar watch and my nike+ watch at the same time, Love it!. So I did the strepper for 10 mins, ran for a mile, did the stepper another 10 mins, rowing maching for 5 mins and ended with 15 mins of cycling. Each time trying to keep my heart rate up to 150. Ok that was hard. I am seeing each day how out of shape even with the weight lose I really am. This will hopefully help with the knees and my training for the next race in April.

Today is another day and I woke up to the delayed opening call, sweet! Slept an extra hour and then went out to shovel the snow/ice of my driveway and my neighbors. Should of put the monitar on so that I could keep track of the caloris, oops. But did shovel for atleast 45 mins. Shoulders hurt, good sign. Bad sign my left hand fingers were frozen, needed to thaw them out for a good 10 mins when I was done. Note to self: need thicker water proof gloves.

So had a healthy breakfast (the scrambled egg quesidella) but was so craving the dt coke. Lunch today is a mix of shrimp and crabmeat that I put through the food processor and add some onion and celery to it. About a 1 T of mayo and mix. Yummy and my band doesn't get irritated with the food since its mushy. Bonus!

time flies by

So this past week I lost 1.5 lbs at the gym. Then they had us do a "last chance workout" OK so I've run a half marathon (poorly but I did it) and I thought I was in OK shape....NOT.... they kicked my butt. But will go to the gym today and do more cardio. And this time I will not let the workout kick me!

DB weigh in is tonight. I need to drink lots and lots of water today, why more than usual because I had corned beef yesterday. Its like salt on a stick but so worth it. Yummy!
Today I made scrambled egg quesadilla.I cooked turkey bacon then cut it into strips, started cooking the egg beaters mixed with scallions and turkey bacon. When done I placed it on a tortilla, added some cheese. and folded it in half then back to the stove to fry up. yummy!!!!

well got to go now. Wish me luck on tonights weigh in.

another day

today wasnt like to the other two day. I was running around and food wasnt on the top list. So just grabbed and go. Ugh! Trying now to get the rest of the water in today.

Went to the gym: 1 mile run, think it took 11:30 mins. then di 20 mins on stepper, and 30 mins on cycle.IM tired but its so cool in the gym Im not sure if I broke a sweat or not.

Well its off to bed. Going to dream of white stuff on the ground tomorrow, enough to have the school close up early. Fingers crossed.

day three

Yesterday I went to the new gym, 24 hour fitness, there was NO parking at 8 pm. but when I went inside I got to and yes it was crowded but there were a few unoccupied machines. I used the gauntlet and the elliptical machine, of course while watching the biggest loser show. Ive picked one or two that are going to be, probably, my favorites.

today's another busy day, like everyother day. I do NEED to get the nails done today and then have to work DB. But afterwards think I am going to go to the gym and go swimming. Oh DRANK all my water yesterday. That's a high five for me. Now to do it again today.
